Kojima teases unknown Fox Engine title with ... 'See-thru underwear'?



With Platinum Games taking the reins on Metal Gear Rising, what's Kojima Productions up to? KojiPro captain Hideo Kojima took to Twitter to tease the above image writing, "'New title' run by 'Fox Engine.'" It features a refreshing change of pace for the veteran game designer; namely, soldiers and tanks.

Alright, so you're not impressed with what Fox Engine is showing off. Kojima suspected as much, so he followed up with another tweet. "One of the key features about 'Fox Engine,' here's the transparent technique," Kojima wrote. "See-thru underwear." Now you're tasked with the following dilemma: Do you click past the break to see what he's talking about, or do you simply move on, content in the knowledge that you were the stronger person?

Sorcery bewitching PlayStation 3 owners in spring 2012


Sorcery, a PlayStation Move game announced way back at E3 2010 and kept in relative silence since then, is set to launch this coming spring. SCEA hasn't offered a finer launch date beyond that.

For those of you who might have forgotten about the title, Sorcery is a third-person, Move-centric title for the PS3 developed by California-based dev The Workshop. Players cast spells to take out enemies and solve puzzles via the PS3's motion peripheral, all the while controlling a player character on screen via Nav controller or DualShock 3.

Still not clear? It's often referred to as, "That Move game that looked neat and then disappeared." Yeahhhhh, that one. Exactly.

Infinity Ward issuing Modern Warfare 3 bans that last 5000 days


Infinity Ward is issuing its version of a "permaban" to offensive Modern Warfare 3 players, in the form of a ban lasting 5000 days. "If you see this message," IW Creative Strategist Robert Bowling confirmed on Twitter, "it means you've been Permabanned (for something bad)."

Really, when you think about it, IW is being charitable to cheaters and other malcontents by issuing bans lasting only 13 and a half years. That's not reallypermanent at all! Maybe you should thank Infinity Ward for its beneficence by not hacking your game or being outrageously racist.

Otherwise, you'll be thinking about how to live your life until you turn 26.

The Last of Us concept shots depict a game of sneaky survivalism


We don't know much about The Last of Us just yet, but the first several concept shots offer a sneak peek into what we can expect to learn in the coming months. Protagonist duo Joel and Ellie sneak their way past a mean-looking couple of gentlemen in a wrecked 7-11, hang out with deer on their way out of what looks to be San Francisco, and stop to rest by a fire while cracking jokes, all the while escaping from whatever those humanoid ... things were in the trailer.

The latest line from Naughty Dog on The Last of Us puts the duo in a world where the US population was "decimated by a modern plague," leaving only the most hardened survivors behind while nature reclaims man's crumbling structures. The relationship between Joel and Ellie is unclear, though Joel is only referred to as a "ruthless survivor" while Ellie is depicted as "a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years." The gameplay repercussions of those characterizations seem to put Joel in the aggressor role while Ellie handles strategy and puzzles -- we're still not sure how that will play out in terms of player control, unfortunately. Single-player with an NPC partner? Switching off between the two? Co-op? We'll have to wait and see.

And though we're not sure why the two are doing so, they'll be trekking "across what remains of the United States" throughout The Last of Us. Here's hoping they find a good shower somewhere in the process! Head over to OPM for all the (rather gorgeous) concept shots.

Max Payne 3 multiplayer to have 'Gang War' narrative, Bullet Time


The multiplayer component of Max Payne 3 is shaping up to be absolutely insane, provided the oodles of ambition outlined in this recent IGN preview is fully realized. The competitive branch of the game will focus on "Gang War" mode, an objective-based team mode which sees player's goals change dynamically based on the events of the previous round. For instance, the player with the most kills in the last round may have a bounty on their head in the following match, while a certain territory your team stole in the previous game will have to be fended off in future encounters.

Players will customize their loadouts using Bursts -- usable perks which become more powerful the longer the player goes without using them. These include intriguing abilities like Paranoia, which makes the opposing team see their teammates as enemies, simultaneously enabling friendly fire. There's also the series' trademark Bullet Time, which works by slowing down foes caught in the user's line of sight. Check out IGN for more info about how Multi-Max's abilities break down.
