PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset Now Available for Purchase in U.S.


The much awaited PS3 wireless stereo headset has been released by Sony and can now be purchased by gamers residing in the U.S. Touted to deliver 7.1 virtual surround sound, this peripheral displays on-screen status updates and can be used with PC and Mac as well. The PlayStation blog also unveiled the new Urban Camouflage Bluetooth headset and the Urban Camo DualShock 3 controller which are both slated to release this November.


The PS3 wireless stereo headset features a built-in rechargeable battery that apparently offers seven hours of usage on a single charge. Moreover, it can also be used while it is being charged through USB. The earpads of this device are oversized and are meant for ‘hours of comfortable gameplay.’ A retractable microphone is also mounted on this peripheral so as to enable gamers to chat with their friends.

A range of PS3 accessories are scheduled to launch this November including the PlayStation 3D Display which is said to offer full HD screen visuals to two players, even in split-screen mode. Urban Camouflage peripherals for the PS3 – Urban Camouflage Bluetooth headset and the Urban Camo DualShock 3 controller would also hit markets in the same month.
The PS3 wireless stereo headset can now be acquired by gamers in the U.S. by shelling out 99.99 USD (approx Rs. 4,722).
