We can't be far away from an official Grand Theft Auto V unveiling. We just can't be.
And when that happens, we should probably anticipate some early news of a Red Dead Redemption follow-up. We have to forget that Rockstar has a couple blockbuster franchises now; RDR sold a truckload of copies and the critics loved it. There's little doubt that we'll see another installment and the studio must love the idea of two GTAs.
I still can't wait for GTAV, but RDR had a huge impact on me, and I'm not alone. I hate Westerns - always have - but for some reason, I just loved John Marsten's character and the atmosphere was fantastic. Publisher Take-Two loved the money the game generated and you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't like the Wild West epic. Yeah, GTAV is a top priority right now.
But don't think a RDR sequel or prequel is far behind. You won't be seeing official unveilings of RDR2 (or whatever they call it) the day after GTAV floods the Internet, but hey, GTAV can't be too far away...can it?
